Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia on Tuesday said dreaming has become a habit of the Congress and the people of Madhya Pradesh will decide in the next 60 days who is nervous in the elections. The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday released its second list of 39 candidates for the Madhya Pradesh assembly polls due this year-end, fielding seven Lok Sabha members including Union ministers Narendra Singh Tomar, Prahlad Singh Patel and Faggan Singh Kulaste. It also fielded BJP general secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya. The election schedule is yet to be announced. With the second list, the BJP has named its candidates for 78 out of the total 230 assembly seats in MP. The Congress claims the BJP has fielded its senior leaders because it is scared of defeat. Highlighting the growth potential of India's aviation sector, Union minister Jyotiraditya Scindia on Friday said now is the time for aerospace players to look at leveraging the opportunities in the country. Amid the global aviation segment facing headwinds of geopolitical issues and supply chain woes, the civil aviation minister also said India is the "promised land" that can help offset the risks. The minister was speaking at the International Aerospace Conference on the theme 'Moving Towards Inclusive Global Value Chain' in Gwalior, which is also his home constituency. India is expected to have 42.5 crore air passengers by 2035 from the current level of 14.5 crore and that is the growth potential that international players can look at, Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia said on Friday. The minister also said that the regional air connectivity has democratised civil aviation and has spawned four regional carriers. He highlighted the growth potential of the country's civil aviation sector and urged international players to "look at India". He was speaking at the International Aerospace Conference in Gwalior organised by industry body CII. According to him, the country is expected to have 42.5 crore air passengers by 2035 from the current 14.5 crore passengers. A loyalist of Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia and working committee member of the Madhya Pradesh Bharatiya Janata Party has joined the Congress. NMDC crossed 40 MT production level in FY23: Steel Minister Scindia

State-owned NMDC has crossed 40 million tonnes (MT) production level in financial year (FY) 2022-23, Union Steel Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia said on Thursday. The minister termed the production level achieved by NMDC as 'a record-breaking' development. "NMDC has achieved a record-breaking production for the period up to July 2023 and has already crossed 40 MT of annual production last year (FY23)," the minister said while unveiling the new logo of NMDC at his office in the national capital. NMDC CMD Amitava Mukherjee said the company will continue to increase its production year over year to achieve the production of 100 MT by 2030. "NMDC's cumulative production climbed by 20 per cent and sales by 45 per cent in the first quarter of FY24," the CMD said. About 8,000 stakeholders to participate in 1st stainless-steel expo: ISSDA

Around 8,000 stakeholders are likely to participate in the first India Stainless-Steel Expo (ISSE) 2023, being organised under the steel ministry. The three-day event will begin on Thursday in Noida, Indian Stainless Steel Development Association (ISSDA) said in a statement on Tuesday. Issues related to input materials, processing machinery, finished products and essential secondary processing techniques crucial to the stainless steel sector will be taken up at the event, which will be attended by around 8,000 industry professionals directly affiliated with the stainless steel industry, ISSDA said. "The first edition of ISSE 2023 is being organised under the aegis of the Ministry of Steel at the India Expo Mart, Greater Noida from August 3.
