Hawaii's Kilauea, one of the world's most active volcanoes, is erupting again and providing a spectacle that includes bursting lava fountains and lava waves, but no Big Island communities are in danger. Kilauea began erupting Thursday inside its summit crater, the U.S. Geological Survey said less than one month after the volcano and its larger neighbor Mauna Loa stopped releasing lava. The Hawaiian Volcano Observatory detected a glow in webcam images indicating Kilauea had begun erupting inside Halemaumau crater at the volcano's summit caldera, the agency said. Kilauea last erupted for 16 months starting in September 2021, and for about two weeks starting last November, Hawaii had two volcanoes spewing lava side by side when Mauna Loa erupted for the first time in 38 years. Indonesia's Mt Semeru unleashes lava river in new eruption today

Indonesia's highest volcano on its most densely populated island released searing gas clouds and rivers of lava in its latest eruption on Sunday. Monsoon rains eroded and finally collapsed the lava dome atop 3,676-metre (12,060-foot) Mount Semeru, causing the eruption, according to National Disaster Management Agency spokesperson Abdul Muhari, citing information from the Vulcanology and Geological Hazard Mitigation Agency at the Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry. Several villages were blanketed with falling ash, blocking out the sun, but no casualties have been reported. Thick columns of ash were blasted more than 1,500 metres (nearly 4,000 feet) into the sky, while searing gas and lava flowed down Semeru's slopes, traveling toward a nearby river. Lava to launch affordable 5G smartphone at Rs 10,000 around Diwali

Indian smartphone maker Lava International on Monday said it will launch an affordable 5G smartphone, LavaBlaze 5G, for about Rs 10,000 before Diwali. The mobile device was unveiled by telecom minister Ashwini Vaishnaw at the India Mobile Congress here. A mobile device expert claimed that at Rs 10,000, the phone would be the cheapest 5G smartphone in the market. "It has always been our desire to develop an accessible 5G smartphone that is made in India.
