The combined market valuation of seven of the top 10 most valued firms climbed Rs 65,302.5 crore last week, with Tata Consultancy Services and ICICI Bank emerging as the biggest gainers. Last week, the BSE benchmark Sensex climbed 663.35 points or 0.90 per cent, and the Nifty jumped 165.7 points or 0.74 per cent. In the holiday-shortened week, the BSE benchmark fell by 982.56 points or 1.37 per cent. Of the top-10 most-valued firms, Reliance Industries, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), HDFC Bank, Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC), Hindustan Unilever, ITC and State Bank of India were the laggards, ICICI Bank, Infosys and Bharti Airtel emerged as the gainers. The market valuation of HDFC Bank fell by Rs 32,661.45 crore to Rs 10,90,001.31 crore. LIC's valuation tumbled by Rs 20,682.74 crore to Rs 5,71,337.04 crore. The combined market valuation of six of the top-10 most valued firms declined Rs 57,408.22 crore last week, with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and HDFC Bank taking the biggest hit, in-line with muted trends in equities. The combined market valuation of eight of the top-10 most valued firms jumped Rs 1,29,899.22 crore in a holiday-shortened last week, where equity benchmark indices recorded a sharp rally. The combined market valuation of three of the 10 most valued firms jumped Rs 70,312.7 crore last week, with Reliance Industries emerging as the biggest winner, amid volatile market conditions. The combined market valuation of nine of the top-10 most valued firms jumped Rs 2.26 lakh crore last week, with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and Infosys emerging as the biggest gainers amid an overall bullish trend in equities. Last week, the BSE benchmark jumped 1,658.15 points or 2.37 per cent. The 30-share BSE Sensex zoomed 969.55 points or 1.37 per cent to settle at its record closing high of 71,483.75 on Friday. During the day, it surged 1,091.56 points or 1.54 per cent to 71,605.76, its all-time intra-day high level. Market capitalisation of BSE-listed firms hit all time high of Rs 355 trn

The market capitalisation of BSE-listed companies surged to an all-time high of Rs 355 lakh crore on Thursday, with investors becoming richer by Rs 3.83 lakh crore as the benchmark Sensex hit its all-time high level driven by a rally in global equities. Global markets rallied after the US Federal Reserve kept its key interest rate unchanged and signalled that they expect to make three quarter-point cuts to their benchmark interest rate next year. Market cap of BSE-listed firms hits record high of Rs 331 trillion

The combined market capitalisation of BSE-listed firms hit an all-time high of Rs 331 lakh crore on Tuesday and is just shy of entering the landmark USD 4-trillion club. At the end of trade, the market capitalisation of BSE-listed companies reached Rs 3,31,05,425.71 crore, which translates to USD 3.97 trillion at the current exchange rate of 83.34, thanks to a fag-end recovery in the equity market after a highly volatile trade. On May 24, 2021, the market capitalisation of all listed companies on the BSE touched the USD 3-trillion mark. The 30-share BSE benchmark Sensex hit its all-time peak of 67,927.23 on September 15, this year.
