Signages, non-functional underpasses along e-ways slowing down MotoGP prep

As India gears up to host its maiden MotoGP event at the Buddha International Circuit in Greater Noida in a fortnight, the "sluggish pace" of raising infrastructure at the local level has officials worried. Sources told PTI that hundreds of signages and over two dozen cameras are yet to be installed along the highways that pass through Noida and Greater Noida up to the venue along the Yamuna Expressway. Some signages installed already have lost visibility due to trees or need modification. Besides these, two key underpasses -- at Advant Navis building and at Sector 96 -- on the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway are non-functional while several road patches require resurfacing. "The concerns have been raised with the three local authorities -- the Noida Authority, Greater Noida Authority and the Yamuna Expressway Authority -- for the works related to their areas. MotoGP ticket prices in India revealed, ranges from Rs 800 to Rs 1.5 lakh

The cheapest ticket for the inaugural MotoGP race in India will cost as less as Rs 800 while the most expensive will be priced around Rs 1.5 lakh. The Indian promoters of the premier two-wheel racing competition, Fairstreet Sports, will start the tickets sales soon for the event to held at the Buddh International Circuit in Greater Noida from September 22-24. "The fans can choose between single-day tickets and tickets for the whole weekend (three days). The cheapest will be around Rs 800 which is great value for an event of this global stature and the most expensive will be around Rs 1.5 lakh. Overall, there will be six categories. We want to cater to people from all walks of life," a source told PTI. It will be the biggest motorsport event to take place in India since the Formula 1 Indian Grand Prix. MotoGP team conducts recce of Buddh Circuit ahead of inaugural race

A 12-member team from the MotoGP commercial rights holder, Dorna Sports, has concluded a recce of the Buddh International Circuit ahead of its inaugural race here on September 22-24. The team, led by Dorna events director Norma Luna, meticulously surveyed the circuit to evaluate various technical aspects as well as inspect the broadcast setup facilities and assess other essential requirements for delivering a world-class event.
