The CUET-UG examination days will be extended by at least four days to accommodate the higher number of candidates in certain cities, according to the National Testing Agency (NTA). The second edition of Common University Entrance Test (CUET)-UG is scheduled from May 21-31. "In some cities, the count of registered candidates is very large. To accommodate these candidates, the CUET examination days will be extended to June 1-2 as well as June 5-6. Moreover, buffer days of June 7 and 8 are also being kept as reserve days. In the coming days, NTA will issue the City Intimation Slip for these additional days," said Sadhana Parashar, Senior Director (Exams), NTA. The NTA has also clarified that the City Intimation Slip is not the same as admit card. No untoward incident of insensitive frisking happened at NEET-UG exam centres in Chennai, Kolkata, and Mumbai, according to the National Testing Agency. An internal inquiry by the NTA found that the allegations being made in certain media reports and social media posts are "untrue". The medical entrance exam NEET was conducted on Sunday at more than 4,000 centres. According to the NTA report, in the Hooghly incident, a male candidate came in cargo trousers and formal covered boots against the dress code. The Common University Entrance Test-PG for admission to postgraduate programmes in universities across the country will be conducted from June 5-12, the National Testing Agency announced on Thursday. Candidates can apply for the exam till May 5. The application deadline earlier was April 19. "Common University Entrance Test (CUET)-(PG) will be conducted on 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12 June, 2023. Candidates are advised to regularly visit the NTA (National Testing Agency) website for the latest updates regarding the examination," a senior official said.
The application window for CUET-UG will reopen for three days from Sunday following representation from students and there will be no change in the syllabus after rationalisation of NCERT textbooks, officials said. "Following requests from several students, we have decided to re-open the application portal for CUET-UG on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday and it will close at 11.59 pm on Tuesday (11 April 2023). "The schedule for all crucial exams has been announced this year in advance," a senior NTA official added. On Thursday, the agency said engineering entrance exam JEE-Main would be conducted from January 24 to 31, except on Republic Day. The second session of the exam will be held in April and applications for the exam will be accepted from December 15 to January 12, it added.

The results of the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) for admission to postgraduate programmes will be announced on Monday, according to UGC Chairman Jagadesh Kumar. "National Testing Agency (NTA) will declare CUET-PG results on 26 September (Monday) by 4 pm, required for Post-graduate admissions in the participating universities. Best wishes to all the students," he tweeted. The University Grants Commission on Sunday wrote to vice chancellors of universities opting for CUET to start the admission process. "You are requested to make necessary preparations for admissions, including website and web portals, so that the PG admission process may be timely started, based on the CUET score," it said. Nearly 3.6 lakh candidates just over 1.8 lakh male and 1.7 lakh female had registered for CUET-PG. The exam had recorded over 55 pc attendance. Among the universities, BHU (3.5 lakh) received the maximum number of applications, followed by JNU with 2.3 lakh applications.

The results for the debut edition of the Common University Entrance Test for undergraduate admissions were declared on Friday, National Testing Agency officials said. The CUET-UG results were scheduled to be declared by 10 pm on Thursday. However, the NTA said post-midnight that there will be a delay citing a huge database. "The merit lists will be prepared by participating universities, who will decide about their individual counselling on the basis of the CUET-UG score card," said Sadhana Parashar, senior director (exams), NTA. The first edition of CUET-UG, the gateway for undergraduate admissions in all central universities, began in July and concluded on August 30. Sixty per cent attendance was recorded in the exam. According to Parashar, the performance of every candidate was evaluated using the "equi-percentile method". Under this method, normalised marks of every candidate were calculated using the percentiles of each group of students in a given session across multiple days
