State-owned NBCC (India) Ltd has bagged a Rs 70 crore project from Grid Controller of India for executing interior works in new corporate office in the national capital. In a statement, NBCC said it has inked a memorandum of understanding with Grid Controller of India Ltd (Grid-India) for execution of interior, fit outs and other associated infrastructure works for their new corporate office at Ayurvigyan Nagar, New Delhi. "The tentative value of works to be executed under this MoU is approximately Rs 70 crore," it added. State-owned NBCC (India) Ltd has sold 2.23 lakh square feet of commercial space for Rs 905 crore in the World Trade Centre project at Nauroji Nagar in the national capital. In a statement, NBCC said it has conducted the 22nd auction for the sale of commercial space in the World Trade Centre. "The company has sold a total unsold commercial inventory of 2.23 lakh square feet (approx) having a sale value of Rs 905.01 crore, out of which 0.43 lakh square feet area having sale value of Rs 191.84 crore has been sold to private entities," it added. As of date, the company has sold a total unsold commercial inventory of 23.92 lakh square feet through open e-auction, having a sale value of Rs 9,656.62 crore. State-owned NBCC (India) Ltd has reported a 16 per cent decline in its consolidated net profit to Rs 81.90 crore for the second quarter of this fiscal due to provisioning for expected loss in a Gurugram housing project. Its net profit stood at Rs 97.72 crore in the year-ago period. The total income, however, rose to Rs 2,129.09 crore during the July-September period of 2023-24 from Rs 2073.89 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year, a regulatory filing said on Thursday. State-owned construction firm NBCC on Friday reported a 68 per cent rise in its consolidated net profit to Rs 72.03 crore for the second quarter ended September 30. On July 23, 2019, the Supreme Court ordered cancellation of the registration of Amrapali Group under real estate law RERA. The court had directed NBCC to complete the stalled projects of the group. In a statement, NBCC said that the monitoring committee appointed by the Supreme Court convened a meeting on Monday with nationalised and private banks to discuss the financing for Amrapali Projects.
