Noida Airport partners Mahindra Logistics Mobility for e-taxi service

The upcoming Noida International Airport (NIA) on Thursday said it has partnered with Mahindra Logistics Mobility to provide a premium, all-electric taxi service for passengers flying to and from the facility. The round-the-clock and seven days-a-week service will feature premium pick-up and drop-off facilities located at the arrival and departure kerbs, minimising walking distance, NIA said. Passengers will be able to book rides through various channels, including a dedicated mobile app, website, call centre, airline alliances, and airport kiosks. This multi-channel approach will guarantee accessibility and ease of booking for travellers, it said. The fleet will be managed with a focus on real-time dynamic adjustments based on passenger demand and flight schedules, reducing wait times, and extending service availability, NIA said. Signature Global eyes taking over Noida's stalled projects to expand biz

Realty firm Signature Global is looking for land in Noida and Greater Noida to expand the business and will explore taking over stalled housing projects as well provided there are no legacy litigations. Signature Global, which got listed in 2023, has a significant presence in the Gurugram market of Delhi-NCR. In an interview with PTI, Signature Global founder and Chairman Pradeep Aggarwal said, "We want to expand our business in Delhi-NCR beyond the Gurugram market. We are looking for land parcels in Noida, Greater Noida and Yamuna Expressway." The company will participate in land auctions conducted by development authorities of these three regions, he added. Farmers from different parts of Uttar Pradesh demanding adequate compensation for their lands acquired by the government marched towards Delhi on Monday but were stopped at the Noida-Delhi border where they sat on a dharna. The farmers said if their demands were not met within seven days, they would again march towards Delhi. Landing trials at Noida airport postponed, likely to begin from Nov 30

The landing trial at the Noida International Airport, scheduled for Friday, has been postponed after failing to get the required permissions from the DGCA, an official said. The test is likely to begin from November 30, he said. After the calibration report was approved, there was a plan to start testing on the runway from November 15, under which it was planned to land and take off three aircraft each of aviation companies Indigo and Akasa daily. Dr Arunvir Singh, Chief Executive Officer of Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA), said, "Due to non-receipt of permission from Directorate General of Civil Aviation, the test of the runway of the proposed Noida International Airport from November 15 has been postponed. It is expected that the test will start from November 30. Preparations are being made accordingly.' After the completion of the test, the aerodrome license will be issued by the DGCA, only after which the airport will be ready for commercial operation

Ingka Centres, a part of Ingka Group that operates IKEA retail, will invest 607 million euros (about Rs 5,500 crore) to set up its second meeting place in India at Noida under the Lykli brand, taking its overall investment in the country to a 1 billion euros, according to the company's Global Expansion & Development Director Sebastian Hylving.
