Similar price surge was seen in Mumbai and Nashik where broiler chicken remained quoted at Rs 67 a kg and 66 a kg on September 6 as against Rs 59 a kg and Rs 60 a kg a month earlier. Similarly, egg prices have also risen sharply over the last one month. In Ajmer, an egg was sold at Rs 3.15 a piece on August 6 which shot up to Rs 3.55 a piece a month later. Eggs became costlier by Re 0.30 a piece over the last one month to trade in Delhi at Rs 3.95 a piece on Wednesday.
