GE T&D India on Friday said it bagged an order worth 74 million pound (Rs 785 crore) from UK Grid Solutions Ltd for supply and manufacturing of HVDC Converter Transformer. Both the entities are part of GE Group and this related party transaction has been approved by shareholders in last annual general meeting held on August 21, 2023, GE T&D India said in a regulatory filing. The company received the order on December 28 in the normal/ordinary course of business from UK Grid Solutions Limited, it said, adding that the transaction is done at arm's length.

The company's committee of directors for bonds, in their meeting on July 29, 2023, approved the raising of up to Rs 5,700 crore in FY 23-24 in multiple tranches to part finance its capex requirement, for providing inter corporate loan(s) to wholly owned subsidiaries/JVs and for general corporate purposes, according to a regulatory filing. Further, it stated that the committee of director for bonds in their meeting on Friday approved the raising of up to Rs 2,200 crore towards the third tranche of bonds. The base issue size is Rs 500 crore with a greenshoe option of Rs 1,700 crore, the the filing added.

The company is raising Rs 500 core in the first tranche with a green shoe option of (additional) Rs 1,400 crore.
