Realty firm SKA Group on Wednesday said it will invest nearly Rs 600 crore to develop a premium housing project in Greater Noida as part of its expansion plan. The company has so far completed four housing projects comprising 3,200 units, while two residential projects are under construction totalling 1,800 units. It is also developing a commercial project comprising 600 units. These projects are in the Noida, Greater Noida and Ghaziabad markets of Uttar Pradesh. "We have launched a new housing project 'SKA Destiny One' in Greater Noida. The project spread over 6 acres will have 645 units," SKA Group Director Sanjay Sharma told reporters here. The price ranges between Rs 1.5 crore and Rs 3 crore per apartment. The company had bought this land from Greater Noida development authority and the entire land price has been paid. Godrej Properties' sale bookings are likely to rise 50 per cent annually to over Rs 18,000 crore this fiscal year, beating the annual guidance on strong demand for its residential projects. In an interview with PTI, Executive Chairperson Pirojsha Godrej said the company is hopeful of selling properties of more than Rs 5,000 crore during January-March period of this fiscal year, repeating the performance of the previous two quarters. The real estate arm of Godrej Group had sold properties worth Rs 12,232 crore in 2022-23 and had given sales guidance of Rs 14,000 crore for the current fiscal. Realty firm Prestige Estates Projects Ltd expects Rs 550 crore revenue from its new residential project in Bengaluru. The company has launched a new housing project, 'Prestige Glenbrook' in the heart of Whitefield, Bengaluru's IT hub. "The development comprises 285 apartments across two high-rise towers with a developable area of 0.7 million square feet and has a revenue potential of Rs 550 crore," Prestige said in a regulatory filing on Thursday. New supply of residential properties rose 51 per cent last year to 3,57,635 units across seven major cities as builders launched more projects to tap rising demand, according to Anarock. In its annual report for 2022, the leading housing brokerage said new launches increased to 3,57,635 units last year from 2,36,693 units in 2021 across seven major cities. New launches of housing units were up in five cities --Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR), Kolkata, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Pune, but fresh supply fell in Delhi-NCR and Chennai. The Municipal Corporation of Delhi has extended the last date for filing property tax for 2022-2023 for availing rebate of 15 per cent to July 15, officials said on Friday. Previously, the last date was June 30. MCD provides a rebate of 15 per cent in property tax if the amount due for current financial year is paid in lump sum. "MCD has taken this decision to provide relief to citizens who failed to avail this rebate by not filing their property tax till June 30 due to some reasons. "MCD has ordered all concerned officials in this regard and property tax offices have also been made aware about the decision so that citizens don't face any inconvenience," the civic body said in a statement.
