A mysterious blast took place near a CRPF school in Prashant Vihar area in Delhi's Rohini on Sunday morning. No one was injured in the incident, officials of the Delhi Fire Services said. Fire engines, bomb squad a police forensic team have been rushed to the spot near the CRPF school, Sector 14, Rohini to ascertain the source of the loud blast. The wall of the school, nearby shops and a car received damage, police said. DFS officials said, "We received a call regarding a blast near the boundary wall of CRPF school at 7.50 am. We immediately rushed two fire engines to the spot. There was no fire and no one was injured due to the blast, so our vehicle returned." Senior police officers, including from the crime branch and the Special Cell, reached the spot. "Our forensic team and crime unit are at the spot to collect samples from the blast location. Realty firm Migsun Group on Friday said it has sold 47,000 square feet retail space in its commercial project in the national capital to Dmart for Rs 108 crore. A leading hypermarket retail chain, Dmart has acquired the project's lower ground and first floors to set up a hypermarket store. A major fire broke out in a pathology laboratory in north Delhi's Rohini late last night, the fire department said on Monday. No one was reported injured. Officials said that the fire broke out on the third and fourth floor of a building which housed the pathology lab. The fire was reported to the department around 12.45 am. "Total 10 fire engines were rushed to the spot immediately. It took more than two hours to douse the flames completely. The fire was near the lift shaft. No one was injured in the fire," an official of the Delhi Fire Service said. The person said that the police have been informed for further investigation into the matter.

Ten mobile phones, data cables and some tobacco were recovered from the Rohini Jail here, officials said on Tuesday. The recovery was made from central jail number 10, they said. On Monday, central jail number-10 staff noticed that some object had been thrown inside the jail. The suspicious objects were tightly packed in two juice packets. When the packet were opened, 10 mobile phones, four data cables and 75 grams tobacco were recovered, a senior official said. Further probe revealed that the packets were thrown from outside the jail, they said. The matter has been reported to the police for further investigation, they added. On March 9, prison officials had recovered 23 surgical blades, drugs, two smartphones and a SIM card among other things from the possession of one inmate in Tihar's Central Jail number 3. Delhi has three prison complexes -- Tihar, Rohini and Mandoli. All of these comprise central jails.

"We have purchased land located at Sector 22 in Rohini from Yogi Raj Promoters Pvt Ltd," Migsun Group MD Yash Miglani told reporters here. Migsun Group has entered into a share purchase agreement with Yogi Raj Promoters, which owns this 9-acre land parcel, he added. The company will fund the land acquisition cost through internal accruals. "We will develop a high-street retail project on this land, comprising 1 million square feet area. There is no commercial projects in and around Sector 22, Rohini," Miglani said. The company might purchase an additional Floor Area Ratio (FAR) to increase the size of the project. Delhi Lieutenant Governor V K Saxena on Saturday inaugurated advanced DNA examination facility for sexual assault and POCSO cases at Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) in Rohini. The facility is equipped with machines that can process 24 samples simultaneously and give an analysis report in 24 hours instead of the earlier 72 hours, an official said. It will also be manned by additional 93 staff members, whose recruitment was sanctioned by the Lt Governor recently. The FSL receives 2,500-3,000 cases related to murder, attempt to murder, sexual assault, Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO), disaster tragedies and unidentified bodies. The new technology will help it carry out biological and serological examinations and DNA typing in a much faster manner to ensure that trials in courts do not get delayed, the official said.
