Sun TV Networks Ltd on Friday reported a decline of 5.48 per cent in its consolidated profit after tax at Rs 559.58 crore in the first quarter ended June 2024. The company had reported a PAT (profit after tax) of Rs 592.08 crore in the April-June period a year ago, according to a BSE filing from Sun TV Network, one of the largest broadcasters. Its revenue from operations was down 2.72 per cent to Rs 1,312.40 crore during the quarter under review. It was at Rs 1,349.22 crore in the year-ago period. Sun TV Network Ltd on Wednesday reported 6.81 per cent increase in consolidated profit after tax (PAT) at Rs 454.09 crore for the third quarter ended December 2023. The company had reported a PAT of Rs 425.10 crore in October-December FY23, according to a BSE filing by Sun TV Network, one of the largest broadcasters. Revenue from operations rose to Rs 923.15 crore from Rs 886.88 crore. Total expenses were at Rs 451 crore, up 7.86 per cent from the year-ago period. Total income was higher by 7.5 per cent to Rs 1,058.66 crore. In a separate filing, the company informed that its board in a meeting held on Wednesday declared an interim dividend of 50 per cent, which is Rs 2.50 per share on face value of Rs 5 per share. South India-based broadcaster Sun TV Networks Ltd on Friday reported a decline of 7.25 per cent in its consolidated profit after tax (PAT) at Rs 380.40 crore for the March 2023 quarter. The company had reported a PAT of Rs 410.17 crore in the January-March period a year ago, Sun TV Network said in a BSE filing. Its revenue from operations was Rs 840.36 crore, 1.92 per cent lower, during the period. It was Rs 856.85 crore in the year-ago period. Sun TV Networks' total expenses in the fourth quarter stood at Rs 427.75 crore against Rs 367.09 crore in Q4 FY22. Its total income during the March quarter was Rs 926.20 crore.
