Suzuki Motorcycle India, SMFG India Credit Co partner for vehicle finance

Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt Ltd on Friday said it has partnered with SMFG India Credit Co Ltd (formerly Fullerton India Credit Co) to provide financing on purchase of its two-wheelers. The two companies have entered into an MoU for the same, Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt Ltd (SMIPL) said in a statement. SMFG India Credit is registered as a Non-Banking Financial Company-Investment and Credit Company (NBFC-ICC) with the Reserve Bank of India, and a member of Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group (SMFG), it added. "Considering our continuous growth in the Indian market, it becomes imperative for us to associate with financiers who can facilitate ease of purchasing Suzuki two-wheelers. The idea is to offer flexible, yet easy retail finance offers, keeping in mind the needs of our customers," SMIPL Managing Director Kenichi UMEDA said. Suzuki Motorcycle India's vehicle sales grow 24% to 79,483 units in Dec

Two-wheeler maker Suzuki Motorcycle India on Tuesday said its vehicle sales increased 24 per cent year-on-year to 79,483 units in December. Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt Ltd (SMIPL), a subsidiary of Suzuki Motor Corporation, had sold 63,912 vehicles in December, as per a company statement. "The company closed December 2023 with total sales of 79,483 units, recording 24 per cent year-on-year growth," Suzuki Motorcycle India said in the statement. Of the total two-wheeler sales last month, the domestic sales volume stood at 69,025 units, while the remaining 10,458 units were retailed in the overseas markets, it stated.

Suzuki Motorcycle India logs 30% rise in 2-wheeler sales at 103,336 units

Suzuki Motorcycle India said on Friday its two-wheeler sales, including exports, increased 30 per cent year-on-year to 103,336 units in August. The company had sold 79,559 two-wheelers in August 2022, the company said. Total domestic sales during August rose 28 per cent to 83,045 units as compared to 64,654 units in August 2022, it said. The company also sold 20,291 vehicles in the exports market in August, Suzuki Motorcycle India said. "We saw strong demand for our products within India, which has aided us in our continued growth," Suzuki Motorcycle India Managing Director Kenichi Umeda said.

Suzuki Motorcycle India's sales jump 18.7% at 80,737 units in June

Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt Ltd on Monday reported an 18.7 per cent year-on-year growth in total sales at 80,737 units in June. The company had sold 68,018 units in June 2022, Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt Ltd (SIMPL) said in a statement. SIMPL, Executive Vice President, Sales, Marketing and After Sales, Devashish Handa said the June sales growth reflected robust demand in domestic and overseas markets.

Suzuki Motorcycle expands retail footprint in TN, launches 4th facility

Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt Ltd has expanded its retail footprint in Tamil Nadu with the inauguration of fourth premium dealership facility in Coimbatore, the company said on Friday. The new outlet - Adharvaa Suzuki - is located on Avinashi Road, Peelamedu, Coimbatore. Suzuki Motorcycle India currently has 518 premium dealerships across the country. "In our continued effort to make Suzuki two-wheelers increasingly accessible to the consumers, we are elated to inaugurate a new premium dealership in Coimbatore," said company MD Kenichi Umeda. "Our commitment remains strong to the Indian market. Looking at the growing demand of Suzuki two-wheelers in Coimbatore, we have decided to open a new dealership to provide the best possible service and an unparalleled buying experience," he said. Suzuki Motorcycle India currently has three dealerships one each in Sathy Road, Mettupalayam Road and Trichy Road in Coimbatore, the release said.

Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt Ltd on Tuesday announced the appointment of Kenichi Umeda as its new Managing Director. Umeda succeeds Satoshi Uchida, who has completed his term as the Managing Director of the company, Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt Ltd (SMIPL) said in a statement. Two-wheeler maker Suzuki Motorcycle sales jump 49% to 97,584 units in March

Two-wheeler maker Suzuki Motorcycle India has posted a 49 per cent jump in its vehicle sales at 97,584 units in March over the same month of 2022, the company said on Sunday. The company sold 73,069 units in the domestic market and exported 24,515 units in the previous month, Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt Ltd (SIMPL) said in the statement. SMIPL sold a total of 65,495 vehicles in March 2022. For the full fiscal 2022-23, the total sales were up 24.3 per cent at 9,38,371 units from 754,938 units retailed in the financial year that ended March 31, 2022, the company said. "Suzuki Motorcycle India was able to attain a remarkable sales achievement in March by registering the highest ever monthly sales of 97,584 units. Suzuki Motorcycle ties up with Standard Chartered to give funds to dealers

Suzuki Motorcycle launches scooters compliant with latest emission norms

Suzuki Motorcycle India on Wednesday said it has launched a range of scooters, which conform with the upcoming stricter emission norms, priced between Rs 79,400 to Rs 97,000 (ex-showroom Delhi). The company's 125cc scooters, including Access 125, Avenis and Burgman Street, get the latest on-board diagnostics (OBD2-A) system. Suzuki has also introduced E20 fuel-compliant engines on the Access 125, Avenis and Burgman Street range. "Suzuki's powerful 125cc engine which delivers high performance and has been ruling riders' hearts is now E20 (petrol with 20 per cent ethanol) and OBD2-A compliant. We plan to gradually make our entire product portfolio compatible to E20 fuel," Suzuki Motorcycle India Executive Vice President (Sales, Marketing and After Sales) Devashish Handa said in a statement.

Suzuki Motorcycle rolls out 6 millionth unit from Gurugram facility

Suzuki Motorcycle India on Monday said it has rolled out six millionth vehicle from its Gurugram-based manufacturing facility. The company sells a range of products including Access 125, Gixxer 250 and 150 series, Burgman Street and the recently introduced Avenis 125. "This year marks the completion of Suzuki Motorcycle India's 15 years in the country. It is indeed heartening to also announce the roll out of our six millionth Suzuki two-wheeler product in India from our Gurugram plant," Suzuki Motorcycle India Managing Director Satoshi Uchida said in a statement. Suzuki Motorcycle's total sales up 27% in August at 73,463 units

Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt Ltd (SMIPL) on Wednesday reported a 27 per cent increase in total sales at 73,463 units in August 2021. The company had sold 57,909 units in the same month last year, SMIPL said in a statement. Domestic sales in August were at 61,809 units while exports stood at 11,654 units, it added. Commenting on the sales performance, SMIPL Managing Director Satoshi Uchida said, "With the unlock phase, the two-wheeler industry is now marching towards normalcy while continuing to adhere to all the precautionary measures.
