India and the UAE on Thursday signed a Memorandum of Understanding on increasing cooperation in the field of industries and advanced technologies. The MoU aims at strengthening and developing industries in both nations through investments, technology transfer and deployment of key technologies in industries, by benefitting from joint funds and mutual efforts. It was signed between Indian Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal and Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology of UAE Sultan Al Jaber. French President Emmanuel Macron called on Wednesday for boosting the development of artificial intelligence in Europe while putting in place smart regulations that don't impede tech companies' growth. Macron, who visited Europe's biggest startup and tech event Vivatech, said we're too far behind in terms of innovation and we're regulating too slowly. He said France and the EU are lagging behind UK and the world's biggest players, the US and China.
