Oberoi Realty sells flats worth Rs 1.3K cr in 3 days of Maha project launch

Oberoi Realty has sold luxury homes worth Rs 1,348 crore in its newly launched 75-acre residential project at Thane in Mumbai Metropolitan Region. On October 18, the company launched project 'Oberoi Garden City Thane'. It will be developing and marketing this project in phases. The company has "recorded gross booking value of around Rs 1,348 crore for 5.65 lakh sq ft (carpet area) over the first three days," it said in a regulatory filing. Spread around 75 acres, the project will offer homes with over 30 world-class amenities, a 5-star deluxe JW Marriott Hotel Thane Garden City and an Oberoi International School. The first phase of the development will consist of five residential towers and bookings for two towers commenced on October 18, 2024. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday laid the foundation stones of various initiatives of over Rs 32,800 crore including the Thane Integral Ring Metro Rail Project and Elevated Eastern Freeway Extension. Ten rescued from eye clinic after fire in commercial building in Thane

Nine persons undergoing treatment at an eye clinic and another one at a fertility centre were rescued after a fire broke out on the 11th floor of a 16-storey commercial building in Maharashtra's Thane city, officials said. The blaze erupted around 11 pm on Tuesday and was doused after five hours of efforts, said Yasin Tadvi, chief of the Regional Disaster Management Cell of the Thane Municipal Corporation. Nobody was injured in the incident, he said. "The fire broke out in the office of a trust on the 11th floor of the commercial complex located at Cadbury Junction in Khopat area of the city. Due to the fire, smoke engulfed the entire building," he said. After being alerted, RDMC, fire brigade and Thane District Rescue Force (TDRF) personnel rushed to the site.
