Telecom regulator to meet telcos on call drop, network issues next month
Directs telcos to inform status of Digital Content Authorization tech within 30 days
Initial reports showed widespread problems with call drops, poor audio connectivity from 5G users
A three-judge bench headed by Justice Arun Mishra said the telecom service providers would have to pay now fines and penalties on the fees not paid
The minister however said that telecom service providers (TSPs) should ensure that call drop rate in their mobile networks remain within the benchmarks laid down by regulator Trai
An industry source said the telecom operators could look for some clarity on the roadmap and timing for 5G auctions
