TVS Motor Company on Wednesday reported a 21 per cent increase in total dispatches to 4,34,714 units in October, its highest-ever monthly sales. The company sold 3,60,288 units in October last year, TVS Motor Company said in a statement. Two-wheeler sales were at 4,20,610 units in October as against 3,44,630 units in the year-ago period, up 22 per cent, it added. Domestic two-wheeler sales grew 25 per cent to 344,957 units in October as against 2,75,934 units a year ago. Motorcycles posted a growth of 23 per cent at 2,01,965 units last month, up from 1,64,568 units in October 2022, while scooter clocked 1,65,135 units as against 1,35,190 units, an increase of 22 per cent. TVS Motor Co said it sold 20,153 units of iQube electric scooter in October 2023 as against sales of 8,103 units in the same month last year. TVS Motor Company on Thursday reported a 15 per cent growth in total sales at 3,33,787 units for August 2022. The company had sold 2,90,694 units in the same month last year, TVS Motor Co said in a statement. The total two-wheelers sales grew by 15 per cent last month to 3,15,539 units compared to 2,74,313 units in August 2021. Domestic two-wheeler sales were 2,39,325 units against 1,79,999 units in the year-ago month, a growth of 33 per cent. Motorcycle sales grew by 17 per cent to 1,57,118 units compared to 1,33,789 units in August 2021. Scooters sales rose 40 per cent to 1,21,866 units in August 2022 from 87,059 units a year ago. The company said three-wheeler sales last month stood at 18,248 units compared to 16,381 units in the year-ago period, up 11 per cent. TVS Motor Company on Monday reported a 13 per cent increase in total sales at 3,14,639 units in July. The company had posted a total sales of 2,78,855 units in the same month last year, TVS Motor Company said in a statement. Total two-wheelers sales were up 14 per cent at 2,99,658 units last month, as against sales of 2,62,728 units in July 2021, it added. Domestic two-wheeler sales stood at 2,01,942 units as compared to 1,75,169 units in the year-ago month, up 15 per cent, the company said. "The company has invested in strategic relationships and action plans for the supply of semiconductors and the efforts are yielding results with improvements seen this month as well," it said.
