US cyber agency puts poll security staffers who worked with states on leave

Staffers at the nation's cybersecurity agency whose job is to ensure the security of U.S. elections have been placed on administrative leave, jeopardizing critical support provided to state and local election offices across the country. In recent days, 17 employees of the US Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency who have worked with election officials to provide assessments and trainings dealing with a range of threats from cyber and ransomware attacks to physical security of election workers have been placed on leave pending a review, according to a person familiar with the situation who was not authorized to speak publicly. Ten of those employees are regional election security specialists hired as part of an effort to expand field staff and election security expertise ahead of the 2024 election. Quick Heal expects new anti-fraud product to boost its consumer business

Cybersecurity leader Quick Heal Technologies Ltd is optimistic that the launch of the country's first all-in-one fraud prevention solution will boost growth in its consumer business, which currently contributes 62 per cent of its revenue, a company official said on Thursday. US securities regulators question Twitter on how it counts fake accounts

U.S. securities regulators are questioning Twitter about how it counts fake accounts on its platform. The Securities and Exchange Commission in June asked the company about its methodology for calculating the false or spam accounts and "the underlying judgments and assumptions used by management. The agency's Division of Corporation Finance made the request in a June 15 letter, shortly before Tesla CEO Elon Musk raised the issue as grounds to back out of a deal to buy Twitter for $44 billion.
