Avaada Group to invest Rs 40,000 cr in 6 GW renewable projects in Gujarat

Avaada Group on Monday said it has committed investments worth Rs 40,000 crore for development of 6,000 MW hybrid wind-solar projects in Gujarat. The agreement was signed in the presence of Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendrabhai Patel on the sidelines of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2024 on January 10-12 at Gandhinagar, a company statement said. According to the statement, Avaada Group has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Gujarat government. This strategic alliance aims to set up hybrid wind-solar projects with an aggregate 6,000 MW (6 GW) capacity in the state with an investment of about Rs 40,000 crore. The group's commitment to green initiatives in Gujarat is underscored by substantial investments in the development of a robust renewable energy ecosystem. NTPC Green Energy signs 2 pacts for green hydrogen projects in Gujarat

NTPC Green Energy Ltd (NGEL) on Friday announced the signing of two initial pacts for the development of green hydrogen projects in Gujarat. The NTPC's arm signed the Memoranda of Understandings (MoUs) with Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation Ltd (GSPC) and Gujarat Pipavav Port Ltd (GPPL) These pacts were signed at the Vibrant Gujarat Summit in Gandhinagar. In a statement, NTPC said the pact with GSPC is for the blending of green hydrogen in the gas networks of GSPC and green hydrogen mobility by setting up of green hydrogen fuelling stations in Gujarat. The MoU with GPPL aims to develop green hydrogen ecosystem, including production of Green Ammonia at the land provided by GPPL for export and domestic market, according to the statement. NGEL is a wholly-owned subsidiary of NTPC with an operational capacity of over 3.4 GW and 26 GW in pipeline, including 7 GW under implementation.

MoUs worth Rs 26.33 trn signed at Vibrant Gujarat Summit 2024: CM Patel

Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) for 41,299 projects with investment proposals worth Rs 26.33 lakh crore were signed during the 10th edition of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2024, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel said on Friday. Patel made the announcement in a post on X as the three-day summit ended here. If the MoUs signed at the VGGS that was to be organised in 2022 but postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic were added up, a total of 98,540 MoUs with investment proposals worth more than Rs 45 lakh crore were inked, he said. "Under the guidance of Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2024 has created a new record," Patel said in his tweet. "In the Vibrant Summit postponed due to the coronavirus epidemic in the year 2022, MoUs worth Rs 18.87 lakh crore for 57, 241 projects were signed. Zydus Group to invest Rs 5,000 cr across various sectors in Gujarat: Patel

Zydus Group on Friday announced plans to invest Rs 5,000 crore in Gujarat in various sectors, including new generation biotechnology products and hospitals, its Chairman Pankaj Patel said. Committed to achieve 50% of renewable power sources ahead of 2030: Official

India is looking to achieve the target of 50 per cent of its total power capacity coming from renewable energy ahead of its stated timeline of 2030, a senior government official said on Friday. Out of a total capacity target of 500 gigawatt from non-fossil sources, 485 gigawatt is being envisaged to come from renewable energy (RE), Secretary at the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Bhupinder Singh Bhalla said. 3 MoUs in semiconductor sector on day 2 of Vibrant Gujarat Summit

Three memorandums of understanding (MoUs) were signed in the semiconductor sector on the second day of the 10th Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit here on Thursday, one of them with South Korean firm Simmtech which committed an investment of Rs 1,250 crore in Gujarat for printed circuit board (PCB) manufacturing, an official said. Vibrant Gujarat Summit: Shipping min signs pacts for Rs 30k cr investments

The Ministry of Ports, Shipping, and Waterways (MoPSW) on Thursday said it has signed initial agreements for investments worth Rs 30,000 crore during the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2024. In a statement, the ministry said during the event APM Terminals and Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA) signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoUs) worth Rs 20,000 crore, expressing their intent to invest in the Vadhavan Port Project. The proposed Vadhavan port in Maharashtra is a high-priority initiative for the government, the port is designed to handle an annual cargo capacity of 23 million TEUs (twenty-foot equivalent units) or 254 million tons, boasting a natural draft of 20 meters to accommodate larger container vessels of up to 20,000 TEUs. About 1.3 lakh participants from 140 countries have registered for the 10th edition of Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit, which has also emerged as a forum for discussions on global priorities and concerns, a senior government official said here.
