CM Jagan lashes out at Naidu over Andhra Skill Development Corp scam

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy on Saturday lambasted TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu, accusing him of being the 'chief architect' of the multi-crore AP Skill Development Corporation scam. The CM also attacked select media houses for 'backing' the former CM despite his alleged involvement in several irregularities over the past decades. Not just state government agencies but also the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has arrested those involved in this fake agreement (skill development case).. the person who orchestrated this scam is Chandrababu Naidu, said Reddy, addressing a public meeting in Nidadavolu in East Godavari. Rashtriya Janata Dal leader Manoj Jha on Saturday slammed the Jagan Mohan Reddy government in Andhra Pradesh over the arrest of TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu and said it is a new trend in Indian politics to go to extremes against one's political opponents. "A new trend has started in this country where you go to extremes because you have political differences. Andhra CM disburses Rs 680 cr to students under fee reimbursement scheme

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy on Monday disbursed Rs 680 crore under Jagananna Vidya Devena fee reimbursement scheme at Nagari in Chittoor district. The amount was credited into the bank accounts of more than 8.4 lakh women, mothers of those 9.3 lakh students. "The programme which is happening today will change the future of our children's tomorrow. Parent's poverty should not become a barrier for their children's higher studies and future," said Reddy, addressing a public meeting at Nagari. The Chief Minister promised that expenditure on higher education for eligible students will be borne by the state government, noting that the latest disbursal is for the fee reimbursement from April to June, 2023. AP CM Reddy disburses Rs 561 crore under 'Jagananna Thodu' scheme

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy on Tuesday disbursed Rs 561 crore to 5.1 lakh small and marginal traders and artisans under the 'Jagananna Thodu' scheme, which also included Rs 11 crore interest subvention component. He disbursed these funds at his camp office for the fourth year at a stretch under the first tranche for this year. "Nowhere in the country a programme like this, which benefits lakhs of people is happening," said Reddy. 'Jagananna Thodu' aims to shield petty traders and traditional artisans from the clutches of loan sharks for their daily working capital needs, empowering them to avoid usurious interest rates. The scheme offers Rs 10,000 interest-free loan per annum and also rewards prompt repayments by adding another Rs 1,000 to the loan amount each year, which is capped at Rs 13,000. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy on Wednesday directed officials to ensure that at least 24 crore man-days are offered in 2023 under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS). He issued these guidelines during a review meeting with the district Collectors and Superintendents of Police on a bunch of schemes. "Out of these (24 crore man-days), 60 per cent or 14.4 crore man-days should be completed by June end. At least 75,000 man- days should be provided every day in each district," said the Chief Minister in a press note shared by the state government today.
