Nuh wear deserted look amid tight security; 15 seers pray at Nalhar temple

The Nuh administration on Monday allowed 15 seers and leaders of right-wing groups to offer prayers at the Shiv temple in Nalhar area of this district in Haryana which has been turned into a fortress in view of the Sarv Jatiya Hindu Mahapanchayat's call for a 'shobha yatra'. Authorities have denied permission for the yatra on Monday in the aftermath of the communal clashes on July 31. However, the locals have been allowed to offer prayers in the temples in their neighbourhood on the last Monday of the holy month of Shravan. Heavy security arrangements have been put in place in view of the call for the yatra and some seers heading towards Nuh were stopped at Gurugram, police officials said. Five major checkpoints have been set up from the Delhi-Gurugram border until Nuh with media vehicles not being allowed to go beyond the third checkpoint. Security stepped up in Nuh, drones deployed ahead of VHP's Shobha yatra

Heavy security arrangements are in place here and in adjoining areas with anti-riot vehicles and drones deployed in view of the Sarv Jatiya Hindu Mahapanchayat's call for a 'shobha yatra' on Monday, officials said. Authorities have denied permission for the yatra. As a precautionary measure, the Nuh district administration has already ordered the closure of educational institutions and banks on Monday, suspended mobile Internet and bulk SMS services, and imposed prohibitory orders in the communally-sensitive district. Outsiders have been barred from entering Nuh with security personnel being deployed at all the entry points of the district. Haryana Police personnel and paramilitary forces have been deployed to keep a strict vigil. Security has been tightened at inter-state and inter-district borders, they said. Yatra Online files IPO papers with Sebi to raise 750 crore

Travel service provider Yatra Online Ltd on Monday said it has filed a draft prospectus with markets regulator Sebi for its initial public offering that includes a fresh issue of shares aggregating up to Rs 750 crore. Yatra also announced the appointments of Rohit Bhasin, Deepa Misra Harris and former bureaucrat Ajay Narayan Jha as non-executive independent directors. "The company has also filed its Draft Red Herring Prospectus (DRHP) for an initial public offering (IPO) comprising a fresh issue aggregating up to Rs 750 crore and an offer for sale of up to 93,28,358 equity shares, including 88,96,998 equity shares by THCL Travel Holding Cyprus Ltd, one of its promoters," Yatra said in a statement.
