Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has issued directives to officials, emphasising that there must be no delay, or negligence, in addressing public grievances and assisting victims under any circumstances. "If any negligence occurs, appropriate action will be taken against those responsible," he said. While addressing public concerns during the Janata Darshan held at the Gorakhnath temple on Saturday morning, the chief minister instructed, "If there are any obstacles in resolving an individual's issue, they should be identified and swiftly addressed. SC issues notice to UP govt on Somnath Bharti's plea over hospital remarks

The Supreme Court on Tuesday issued a fresh notice to the Uttar Pradesh government on AAP leader Somnath Bharti's plea seeking the transfer of a case filed against him for allegedly making derogatory remarks on the condition of hospitals and schools in the state. The case against Bharti is pending before the court of the additional chief judicial magistrate of Sultanpur. He moved the top court seeking the transfer of the case to the Rouse Avenue Courts here. A bench of Justices M M Sundresh and Aravind Kumar also issued a notice to the complainant in the case and posted the matter for hearing after three weeks. The apex court had on July 3 last year stayed the proceedings pending before the Sultanpur court against Bharti. On April 10 last year, it issued a notice to the Uttar Pradesh government and imposed an interim stay on the proceedings on a plea filed by Bharti seeking the transfer of the case. Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwara on Monday defended the government's decision to withdraw cases pertaining to the 2022 Hubballi riots and claimed that even Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had dropped ones against him. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday reviewed the flood situation across 11 districts of Uttar Pradesh, which have been impacted by continuous rainfall and the release of water from the mountains due to adverse weather over the past three days.
