Negligence or delay in addressing public concerns won't be tolerated: Yogi

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has issued directives to officials, emphasising that there must be no delay, or negligence, in addressing public grievances and assisting victims under any circumstances. "If any negligence occurs, appropriate action will be taken against those responsible," he said. SC issues notice to UP govt on Somnath Bharti's plea over hospital remarks

The Supreme Court on Tuesday issued a fresh notice to the Uttar Pradesh government on AAP leader Somnath Bharti's plea seeking the transfer of a case filed against him for allegedly making derogatory remarks on the condition of hospitals and schools in the state. The case against Bharti is pending before the court of the additional chief judicial magistrate of Sultanpur. He moved the top court seeking the transfer of the case to the Rouse Avenue Courts here. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday reviewed the flood situation across 11 districts of Uttar Pradesh, which have been impacted by continuous rainfall and the release of water from the mountains due to adverse weather over the past three days. As per a statement issued by the state government, Adityanath specifically instructed officials from Kushinagar, Maharajganj, Lakhimpur Kheri, Ballia, Farrukhabad, Gonda, Kanpur Nagar, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Sitapur, Hardoi, and Shahjahanpur to ensure full preparedness in conducting relief operations.
