The crash-proof car in the works at BMW

At BMW's Research and Innovation Center in Munich, an experimental high-tech safety system is under development. It's called 360-degree collision avoidance and it can prevent a car from crashing into any stationary object. The precise laser sensors and sophisticated algorithms involved could be a step towards a totally self-driving car - and a future without traffic accidents. Bloomberg's Sam Grobart visited BMW to take the prototype for a test drive.

The March Madness song: Written on the back of a napkin

If you watch just one moment during the month-long men's NCAA basketball playoffs it should be the final four minutes of the Final Four championship. That's when CBS airs a highly produced montage of all the alley-oops, hysterics and victory dances from the tourney. And since 1987, that montage has been cut to "One Shining Moment," a sports anthem about basketball. Thirty years after writing the song, Bloomberg talks to the composer, David Barrett, and his inspiration, at the East Lansing, Michigan bar where it was written.
