SBI-SG Global Securities Services on Friday settled a case related to an alleged violation of FPI (foreign portfolio investors) rules and other regulatory norms with Sebi by paying Rs 29.25 lakh towards settlement charges.
SBI-SG Global Securities Services Pvt Ltd (applicant) is a Sebi-registered designated depository participant (DDP).
The order came after SBI-SG Global Securities Services submitted a settlement application, requesting for settlement of the adjudication proceedings under the Sebi's settlement regulations.
"In view of the acceptance and the compliance of the settlement terms by the applicant, the instant adjudication proceedings initiated against the applicant (SBI-SG Global Securities Services) vide show cause notice dated May 08, 2024, is disposed of in terms of the settlement regulations," Sebi's chief general manager and adjudicating officer N Hariharan said in the order.

Several parts of Kashmir received fresh snowfall, many their first this season, on Friday, with a slight increase in the minimum temperatures at most places in the valley, while Rajasthan and Delhi were cold, overcast, and smitten by rain.
A western disturbance brought rain to all three parts of the country, and elsewhere, with the national capital recording its highest December rainfall in 15 years, seeing the day temperature go down sharply to 14.6 degrees Celsius.
Rain also lashed several places in Punjab and Haryana causing the day temperatures in both places to drop sharply.

Former prime minister Manmohan Singh always cooperated with his security team and showed concern and care towards the personnel deployed for his safety, recollected a retired IPS officer who was entrusted with the responsibility of the outer ring of his security details.
Recalling one such instance, Sunil Garg, who served with the Delhi Police's security unit for six years, told PTI that during a cold winter, the former prime minister asked him to arrange tea and coffee for the personnel deployed around his house.
"I had gone to meet him about some issue when he asked me about our staff deployed around the PM's house. He said, 'Always take care of them and keep giving them tea or coffee'," Garg recalled.
"It was just a two-minute meeting," he added.
A 1992-batch IPS officer, Sunil Garg headed the Delhi Police's PM Security unit for six years, serving as Additional Commissioner and Joint Commissioner until 2014.

Sources said the police beat Amini with a baton and banged her head against a vehicle. At her funeral on September 17 in Saqez, women protested by ripping off their hijabs. Protests sparked by her demise have since roped in ethnic minorities and even school children.
