Artificial intelligence major OpenAI used feedback from artists and creatives globally, including Indians, to develop its text-to-realistic video generation platform Sora, the company said on Wednesday.
OpenAI has rolled out Sora, which can generate realistic video from text, across majority of markets, including India.
"Since sharing our research preview of Sora earlier this year, we've worked with artists and creatives worldwide, including in India, drawing on their feedback to develop a new and significantly faster version of the model.  India has a world-famous community of creatives, artists, and filmmakers, and we're excited to see the new ways they create using Sora," an OpenAI spokesperson said.
The model enables users to generate videos up to 1,080 pixel resolution, up to 20 second long, and in widescreen, vertical or square aspect ratios.
OpenAI is offering Sora as part of ChatGPT Plus account at no additional cost.

A Naxalite was killed in an encounter with security personnel in Chhattisgarh's Bijapur district on Wednesday, police said.
Two security personnel also sustained injuries in an improvised explosive device (IED) blast triggered by Naxalites during the same operation, they said.  The gunfight took place in a forest of Munga village under Gangloor police station area when a team of the District Reserve Guard (DRG) was out on an anti-Naxal operation, a police official here said.  The operation was launched based on inputs about the presence of Maoists' divisional committee member Dinesh Modiam, company no. 2 commander Vella and other leaders along with 30-40 cadres in Munga area, he said. Authorities said she died of illness, but her family claimed she fell into a coma after being mistreated by the police. Sources said the police beat Amini with a baton and banged her head against a vehicle. At her funeral on September 17 in Saqez, women protested by ripping off their hijabs. Protests sparked by her demise have since roped in ethnic minorities and even school children. Thousands of women since then have been showing solidarity by cutting their hair and burning their hijabs in public.
						
						Now, the unrest has spread beyond a women&amp;#39;s right to a movement that is calling for an end to theocratic rule. The protests are now the most broadly supported movement in Iran in over four decades.
