Antalaya, Nov 15 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Sunday after a three-day visit to Britain on the sidelines of the annual G20 Summit meeting that is being held in Antalaya. Earlier today Prime Minister Modi addressed the BRICS Summit expressing India's deep concerns on burgeoning terrorism and urged entire mankind to rise in solidarity against terrorism. Prime Minister Modi met leaders of BRICS countries-Brazil, Russia, China and South Africa-to review their two initiatives launched last year, the BRICS bank and the contingent reserve arrangement. Meanwhile, French President Francois Hollande's visit for the G20 meeting has been cancelled in the wake of the terror attacks in Paris.

PM Modi attends G20 Summit in Antalya

Antalya, Nov 15 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended the 10th G-20 Summit being held in Antalya on Sunday. During the summit, the G-20 countries will review the progress on decision taken at the last Brisbane Summit. They are also likely to discuss terrorism and migration at a dinner on Sunday evening. The issues such as climate change, corporate tax avoidance and the overall state of the world economy are also likely to be discussed. The discussions will be dominated by the growing concern that ISIS is moving beyond its sanctuary in northern Syria and transforming into a global terrorist network capable of wreaking devastation in western cities. Meanwhile, Antalya has virtually been converted into a fortress, with thousands of security personnel deployed and high-tech surveillance systems dotting every nook and corner to ensure that leaders of the world's 20 top economies come to no harm from extremist groups over the next two days.

Will continue Syria strikes: French PM

Paris, Nov 15 (ANI): French Prime Minister Manuel Valls has said that France will pursue its intervention in Syria with the aim of striking Islamic State. His statement comes after the group claimed responsibility for attacks that killed 129 people. The attacks on Friday night saw suicide bombers and gunmen attack a theatre venue, a football stadium and cafes in a wave of attacks which, according to the French prosecutor, was carried out by three teams.

Paris attacks: 129 dead, 352 injured

Paris, Nov 15 (ANI): The provisional death toll of Paris attacks is 129 dead and 352 injured, among whom at least 99 in very critical situations, Paris Prosecutor Francois Molins has announced. Among the 129 victims, 89 were killed during the shooting and hostage taking in Bataclan theatre, Molins told. He also added that seven attackers were also neutralized, including three killed during the assault carried out by security forces to rescue hostages taken in Bataclan theatre. One of the suspects was born in France in 1985, known to the intelligence services. Meanwhile local residents and tourists who were still touring on the street in Paris after the series of attacks expressed that they were worried about the security and felt nervous due to the uncertainty of the attacks. An Air France plane had been evacuated in Amsterdam last night before take off following a bomb threat made on Twitter under the name Jihadi John. PM Modi arrives in Turkey to attend G-20 summit

Antalya, Nov 15 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in the Mediterranean coastal city of Antalya in Turkey to attend the two-day G-20 summit, where heads of the government would primarily discuss global economic issues but the talks would be dominated by attacks in Paris and war in Syria. Modi, who interacted with dignitaries at the tarmac, was presented a bouquet by two children. PM is likely to flag issues related to militancy, climate change and global cooperation to recover black money during the meet which begins on Sunday (November 15). Modi arrived in Turkey after concluding his three-day trip to the United Kingdom where Britain and India welcomed more than 9 billion pounds in commercial deals during his visit. Although the G20 usually focuses on economic issues, insecurity in the Middle East and global security were already expected to be on the agenda.

PM Modi condemns Paris carnage

London, Nov 14 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday condemned terrorist attacks in Paris and said that India stands firmly with Paris in dealing with this tragedy. Modi assured India's support to France in dealing with this tragedy. PM Modi added that humanity must stand together in combating this major threat of our time. Meanwhile, ISIS has claimed responsibility for Friday night's terrorist strikes at least six locations in French capital Paris. The attack claimed the lives of over 100 persons and left another 200 injured, 80 or 90 of them still said to be in critical condition. According to reports, the sites attacked are the Bataclan concert venue, Le Carillon, Le Petit Cambodge, 20 rue Alibert, La Belle Equipe, a site near the Stade de France and one more location.

Paris streets deserted in aftermath of shooting

Paris, Nov 14 (ANI): The streets of Paris were unusually empty on Saturday (November 14), the morning after a series of attacks at locations across the capital in which French President Francois Hollande said 127 people had died. Gunmen and bombers attacked restaurants, a concert hall and a sports stadium in a deadly rampage that a shaken Hollande called an unprecedented terrorist attack. Shortly after the attacks, France declared a national state of emergency - the first since World War Two. Border controls were temporarily reimposed to stop perpetrators escaping. The Paris metro railway was closed and schools, universities and municipal buildings were ordered to stay shut on Saturday. And the impact was visible on the streets. Large public gatherings were also forbidden, including food markets which usually take place across the capital every weekends.

World leaders condemn Paris attacks, extend support

USA/ Columbia/ Canada/ Australia, Nov 14 (ANI): The leaders from all over the world extended full support to France after its capital Paris came under several attacks. US President Barack Obama pledged his government's support to France after a series of attacks in Paris, but said he did not yet know the details of what had happened and that the situation was still unfolding. Colombia's President Juan Manuel Santos expressed his country's solidarity with France. Canadian PM Justin Trudeau also expressed his solidarity at the tragic hour. Australian Foreign Minister Julie Bishop said that Australia stands in solidarity with France in the wake of a series of "horrific and devastating"attacks in Paris. France was rocked by multiple, near simultaneous attacks on entertainment sites around Paris on Friday evening and left at least 120 dead.

Emergency declared in Paris as over 100 killed in serial attacks

Paris, Nov 14 (ANI): French security forces carried out an assault at a Paris concert hall in the early hours of Saturday (November 14) after gunmen stormed the venue and killed around 100 people. Gunfire could be heard late Friday (November 13) from inside the Bataclan theatre where rock group Eagles of Death Metal was performing in concert.
