Prague (Czech Republic), Sep 08 (ANI): President Ram Nath Kovind attended Czech-India Business Forum in Prague. The event was attended by members from the Czech Chambers of Commerce and the Czech Association of Medium and Small Enterprises. 50 member delegation from Indian side, representing the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry, the Confederation of Indian Industry, the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Trade Promotion Council of India also participated in the Businsess Forum. President Kovind reached Prague, the capital of Czech Republic on the final leg of his three-nation visit. The President is on a 8-day, 3-nation tour to Cyprus, Bulgaria and Czech Republic.

The government has released the long-awaited draft of Digital Personal Data Protection Rules that do not mention any penal action for violations.
The draft rules, which have been published for public consultations, will be taken into consideration for making the final rule after February 18.
"Draft of rules proposed to be made by the central government in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-sections (1) and (2) of section 40 of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (22 of 2023), on or after the date of coming into force of the Act, are hereby published for the information of all persons likely to be affected thereby," the draft notification said.
The draft rules have laid out provisions related to consent processing of individuals, data processing bodies and the functioning of authorities under the Digital Data Protection Act, 2023.
"...notice is hereby given that the said draft rules shall be taken into consideration after 18th February, 2025," the notification said.

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Friday said it was monitoring pollution levels in Navy Nagar and Shivaji Nagar as the Air Quality Index (AQI) in these areas has exceeded 200.
It will implement the same measures in these two areas as implemented in Borivali East and Byculla where the air quality has improved, said municipal commissioner Bhushan Gagrani.  An AQI between 200 and 300 denotes 'poor' air quality.
"Currently we are keeping a watch on Navy Nagar and Shivaji Nagar," the commissioner said at a press conference.  If the situation (AQI level above 200) remains unchanged, action such as stopping construction works will be taken, Gagrani added.
Navy Nagar is located on the southern tip of Mumbai's Island City, while Shivaji Nagar is part of the eastern suburbs of the megapolis.
