Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) bus employees strike is likely to continue on Tuesday as efforts to get the staffers back on work had not succeeded till late night.
The DTC had earlier on Monday issued an advisory to its workers, asking them to call off their strike and return to work immediately.
According to reports, the Delhi government has further warned the DTC union that it will impose the Essential Services Maintenance Act (ESMA) if the workers do not call off the strike.
A 42-year-old DTC driver had on Sunday died upon being thrashed by a motorcycle rider after his bus grazed the bike from behind in the city's Mundka area.
