Zinc falls by 0.1%, in line with global trend

Press Trust of India New Delhi
Zinc futures traded 0.12% lower at Rs 125.60 per kg today after speculators trimmed positions, tracking a weak global trend.

In futures trading at Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc for delivery in April declined 15 paise, or 0.12%, to Rs 125.60 per kg. It clocked a business turnover of 1,927 lots.

On similar lines, the metal for delivery in May softened by five paise, or 0.04%, to Rs 126.15 per kg in 260 lots.

Market analysts said weakness in zinc futures trade was mostly due to a falling trend in base metals pack on fears that global supply will outpace demand.
