Chelsea’s search for their first win at Stamford Bridge in the 2024-25 season continues as the Blues were held to a 1-1 draw against Crystal Palace on Sunday. Chelsea, who were the dominant side for most of the match, scored the first goal of the game when Jackson scored an easy tap-in goal in the 25th minute to give the hosts a 1-0 lead. However, Palace came back strong and levelled the scores in the second half with the help of Eze’s 53rd-minute goal. Chelsea now have one win, one loss, and one draw from their three matches this season. With this draw, Palace secured their first point of the season.

Meanwhile, in the final match of the night, Liverpool decimated United’s defence to secure a comfortable 3-0 win at Old Trafford. Luis Diaz gave Liverpool the lead when he scored twice inside ten minutes, making it 2-0 by the end of the first half. Liverpool was the first to strike in the second half once again as Mo Salah scored a goal at Old Trafford in his seventh consecutive visit. Liverpool are now the only team alongside City to have a 100 per cent win record after week three, while this marks the second consecutive loss for Erik ten Hag’s Red Devils.
